Our website is changing!

From this weekend there will be a brand new look to Wigan Council’s website. We hope you will find the new site easier to use and more accessible.

This weekend we will be changing over to the new site, and the site will be unavailable for a short while on Saturday. The online payment service will be withdrawn shortly before the changeover and will resume when the new website is available.

From Sunday, you'll be able to visit www.wigan.gov.uk and tell us what you think of the site.

Latest Information

Applying for a Primary school on-line
Parents whose children will be going to primary school in September 2007 can now apply online.

It's all part of Wigan Council's drive to make local services more flexible and accessible. The online service will be available from 19th January to 2nd March.

Have your say on Council's budget
The borough's citizens' panel is being consulted about council spending priorities for next year. The views of all local residents are important, and we want you to have your say even if you're not a panel member.

Climate Change Survey
The Wigan Is My Planet campaign wants to know what you think about a very important issue : climate change. The survey takes just a few minutes to answer and is completely confidential and anonymous. And everyone who completes the survey can enter a draw to win one of five copies of Al Gore’s blockbuster documentary film ‘An Inconvenient Truth’. Just go to Manchester is my planet and click the "Start Survey" button on the "Manchester Is My Planet - Tackling Climate Change" page. Good luck - and thanks for taking part !
